SEWING LEVEL 1 (Ages 10-17)

Service Description

This is a continuation course. Students must first complete the Intro to Sewing course where they will learn all the fundamentals of sewing. In this 4-week course, students will begin to explore different techniques related to clothing and accessory-making. This course is perfect for children and youth wanting to learn how to make their own clothes and accessories. The 3 projects in this level are a smartphone cross-body bag, a toiletries/makeup bag with a zipper and a skirt. In this level, students will learn: * Sewing machine techniques * How to take measurements * How to add an elastic waistband * How to add a zipper * How to add pockets * How fabrics differ from each other (fabric for the skirt is not included but can be purchased for an additional fee)
